Abstract (EN)
In this study During Covid 19 Pandemic period, "Family Resilience Sources of Families with a Disabled Member" are investigated. The group designated for the study consists of 15 participants who have as parents at least one disabled child. 13 of these participants are women and 2 of them are men. In the study, "the phenomenologic method", a type of qualitative research, was used. The study used the "phenomenological method," a type of qualitative research. Data for the study were collected using a semi-structured interview form and a "Family Resilience Interview Form" developed as part of the study. The interviews, which lasted approximately 20-25 minutes each, were conducted in person by the researcher. The data obtained were subjected to content analysis as part of the research questions. MAXQDA 12 software was used for the content analysis. According to the results of the content analysis, the opinions of families with a disabled member during the Covid19 pandemic were classified into internal and external factors and internal and external risk factors within the framework of the family resilience model (Walsh, 1996). It can be seen that internal protective factors contributed the most to the model. In order of intensity, the internal sources of protection are contributed by family belief systems, administration types and family communication periods. The subscript contributing most to the model is values and spirituality subscript which is listed in family belief systems. The subscript of values and spirituality is followed respectively by closeness/commitment, spouse support, explicitness/communication, flexibility/ harmony, and cooperative problem solving. External protective factors are categorized as the code of social support and financial welfare. The most intensive contribution to social support and financial welfare is made by the medical institution and medical staff. This is followed, in order of intensity, by support from the nuclear family and support from relatives. The individual risk factors coded under internal risk factors are as follows: Fear of infection and death and despair are experienced most intensely. Environmental risk factors categorized under external risk factors are as follows: Educational disruption, negative post-pandemic behaviors, and negative media effects are intensely experienced. Lack of spousal support, categorized under family risk factors, is also thought to contribute to the internal risk factors model. After discussing the results in the context of the relevant literature, suggestions were made
