Abstract (EN)

The coronavirus, which emerged at the end of 2019, has caused serious problems all over the world. In addition to the psychological and sociological effects of the epidemic, it is seen that it has serious economic consequences. The coronavirus, which seriously affected the economies of the countries, especially affected the sectors where human participation is intense. While it is seen that the production sector has been affected by the coronvirus to some extent, the service sector has been seriously affected by this epidemic. Compared to the production sector, which gained momentum with the removal of restrictions, the same acceleration could not be achieved in the service sector. As a result of all these, the tourism sector, which has been deeply affected by the coronavirus, has become one of the most important sectors that cannot recover. In this study, gastronomy tourism, which has a very important place in the tourism industry, is explained. Afterwards, the point reached by gastronomy tourism after the coronavirus epidemic was evaluated. In the last part of the study, the measures taken by Turkey and the European Union countries regarding the coronavirus epidemic were explained and the similarities between them were mentioned. The obtained results reveal that the countries take similar precautions, but despite this, it is more difficult to overcome the epidemic. At the same time, although similar measures are taken, the effects of the epidemic are different between developed and underdeveloped countries.
