Abstract (EN)

Supporting the fight against terrorism and informing the public without making propaganda of terrorist organizations is one of the most important tasks of the press. In the study, starting from 1984, the solution process which has become Turkey's unwavering agenda and which was the closest period to a peaceful solution about the conflict between the Republic of Turkey and PKK, and the aftermath of the terrorist agenda were compared through the news in the press. In order to determine how the print media reflects the solution process and the terror agenda for the solution process, the events that were identified as the breakpoints of the process between July 29, 2009, the date when the solution process actually started and the July 25, 2015, the end of the process, were taken into consideration, and content analysis methods were used in screening and coding in Cumhuriyet, Hürriyet, Milliyet and Sabah newspapers.
