Abstract (EN)
CuIn0.7Ga0.3Se2 thin film of which forbidden band gap of ~ 1.14 eV and a photovoltaic material which has a high absorption capacity in a broad range of the electromagnetic spectrum. In this thesis, we have investigated the optical and electrical properties of CuIn0.7Ga0.3Se2 thin film we produced with Thermal Evaporation in dark and under ambient and also structural and surface properties too. The CuIn0.7Ga0.3Se2 thin film has been extensively studied in recent years due to its easy handling, its harmlessness and its potential to be an alternative to other alternative solar materials. Thermal vacuum method facilitates the production of material and increase the quality because of its easy applicability at a low cost and the ease of controlling film composition and high vacuum at thin film coating methods. In our work, we first synthesized the material as crystal in the quartz bulb with the pre-reaction and then coated it on Molybdenum (Mo) the substrate as a thin film by the thermal evaporation method. While we analyze the optical and electrical characterization in dark and under ambient we have also realized the structural and surface analysis with XRD diffractometer and AFM devices. We have observed that the films we have obtained have good absorption properties and high electrical conductivity, and that the morphology of the surface is fairly uniform and graininess is prominent. These results show us that CuIn0.7Ga0.3Se2 thin film that we produced may be a preferable material for solar cell applications.
