Abstract (EN)
Method: This study was designd as a descriptive research in the relational survey model. The children aged between 3-6 years and their parents who had applied to the child psychiatry outpatients clinic of the faculty of medicine between 25th June,2021 - 31st August, 2021 which 70 if the children was boys and 39 girls. The data collection tools in the research that was used were "Personal information form", and for children "family internet attitude scale", "child sleeping habits scale" and "Mother-Father child cultivation scale". The scale was administered to the participants face to face, also the data that was obtained were analyzed and evaluated with the SPSS version 22.0 package program. Results: In our study, 53.84% of the girls and 44.2% of the boys had spent more than 8 hours a week on tablets and television use was reported. The children who currently attending school, Mothers and Fathers democratic attitude (t=3.964, p<,001) and family closeness (t=2,383, p<,05) scores was found to be significantly higher than the children who did not go school. When we look at childrens sleeping habits wuth 6-9 hours of sleeping habits are in order significantly higher than those with average sleep duration of 10 hours or more sleeping problems were found to be more (U= 927,5, p<,05). According to the television usuage; sleeping habits of children who use TV for more than 2 hours from 1 hour to 2 hours is significantly higher than users. The childrens sleeping habits and family control between family closeness and fathers democratic attitude is negatively at a low level (Respectively; rho= -,223, p<,05;rho= -,207, p<,05;rho= -,231, p<,05); fathers authoriatian attitude a low level significant positive relationship (rho= ,266, p<,05) was found. There is a positive and moderately significant relationship between family closeness and fathers democratic attitude when sleeping habits were examined, the level of the childrens parents with higher education have been found to have less sleeping problems 2 hours or more than the average family control score of children watching television for up to 2 hours was found to be significantly lower than the children (p<,05). The family control of children who uses tablets scores of childrens family internet attitude sub-dimensions, it is seen that it is significantly higher than the children who do not use tablets (t=-2,078,p<,001,t=-2,090,p<,05). The income level of the participants whose income level is 5651 TL and for those whose income level is between 0-2825 TL is to have both family control, family closeness and democratic attitude scores were to have a higher score. (p<,05), sleeping habits scores were found to be significantly lower (p<,016). Childrens gender and age was found to have no effect on their sleeping habits by the media exposure. Conclusion: As family control and family closeness increase, sleeping habits problems increase significantly, however negative relationships is in questions. As democratic attitude increases, the sleeping habits problem also decrease significantly/ there is a negative relationship. As the authoritarian attitude increases sleeping habits problems are also increasing meaning a positive relationship has been determined. As the democratic attitude increases, the family closeness and family control also decreases/ found to be positively related of the families childrens sleeping habits, family attitudes in addition the internet use. Childrearing attitudes of families and childrens sleeping habits found to have an effect.
