Application techniques and innovations in Kütahya tile in Republic Period

In this study, it was tried to determine the developments in Kütahya tile during Republic and its present position.This thesis consists of five sections. In the first section, the description of tile and a brief summary of tile were given. In the second section the developments in Kütahya tile after Republic was tried to describe at the aspect of materials, decoration and production technology. In the third section, the ornamentation techniques in the art of tile making were described and explanation about present ornamentation techniques was given.In the fourth section, information about the sectors that produce tile and ceramic and their contribution to education and training and the active factories and workshops in Kütahya were mentioned. Some craftsmen and scientists who contributed to Kütahya tile were introduced in this section and their contributions were mentioned.The fifth and last section is the application section.
