The theme of art in Turkish painting of the Republican period

Social issues have been discussed as subjects in painting themes from the Republican period to the present day. These works have supported the innovations that have been revealed from time to time, and sometimes have revealed the injustices, problems, disasters, painful events and problems of society made during the period. It was aimed to guide the future generations by collecting the parts of the problems experienced as a period reflected in their works and observing which stages of painting art occurred from the past to the present in accordance with which themes the artists based on when creating their works, what stages the artists went through in phonetic, rhythmic and plastic arts from the past to the present in the paintings they made. In addition, the work will acquire an original quality in terms of seeing the types of artistic activities seen in the works by grouping the art themes that the painters dealt with during the Republican Period. By examining the Theme of Art and Painters in European Modern /Contemporary Painting, it was desirable to highlight the differences by comparing them with the subjects and painters of the Republican Period.
