The Kurdish issue of Republican Turkey

The negative effect that started with the foundation of Turkish Republic and was brought about by the effort trying to define all the peoples under the ?Turkish? identity has been seen on Kurdish people at most. The attitude of Turkish Republic against Kurdish people as a government policy had an undulant phase until 2002; but since then important steps have been taken.The governments that have run Turkey since the foundation of Turkish Republic have sought solutions to the Kurdish problem, but the solutions found have made neither side happy except the ones found in our day.Public has been following quests for solutions to the Kurdish problem which has been tried to be realized with the name of `democratic process?, and intellectuals and non-governmental organizations have supported this process.In this context, the aim of the thesis; since the foundation of the Republic, is to understand how the government bears a policy towards Kurdish issue and then today?s leading parties? point of view towards this issue and their solutions, today?s three intellectual figures? point of view and their solutions and finally with the help of the reports prepared by non-governmental organizations followed by public opinion to find solutions.
