Abstract (EN)
İn this thesis; the administrative and demographic structure, social, cultural, economic and commercial life of the Demirci District in the first years of the Republic were put forward. Thus it provides better knowledge and the understanding of local history provided better recognition of the place we live in. and how the new life style and the innovations are perceived and applied in the country together with the republic are explained from a small profile. After Demirci's current position was revealed, the study continued with the place of Demirci's painful years in the Turkish war of Independence. Specifically, in a detailed way in this thesis, the last years of the Ottoman Empire, the National Struggle period and the founding years of the Republic of Turkey were discussed. The changes in the administrative, social, cultural and economic structure of Demirci have been examined with local and general lines and tried to be conveyed in this study.The population and administrative development and growth of Demirci are indicated as before and after the period examined,and Municipal services, zoning and public works In the first decade of the Republic, it has been tried to reveal how Demirci became an advanced district and changed it's face. This aims to better understand the different dimensions of the subject.The social, cultural, educational, social and cultural activities we have discussed in a separate chapter have been focused on how the povince can adapt to a new life and how it reaches its current cultural level. The public works and development activities, municipal services and changes in transportation in Demirci district are also studied.The changes and developments in Demirci's economic structure are given
