Abstract (EN)

Corrosion is the change in physical, chemical and mechanical properties as a result of chemical and electrochemical reactions due to the tendency of metals and alloys to form more stable compounds. Corrosion causes serious losses in metals due to limited metal resources. Therefore, many new techniques are currently being developed to slow down corrosion. One of these techniques is a protective coating, which has ease of application, low cost and adjustable anti-corrosion properties. Within the scope of this thesis, it is aimed to determine the materials that will form the nano-layer coating structure to prevent corrosion in metals and to create a multi-layered structure for corrosion protection. Multi-layered zinc, graphene, graphene oxide, and reduced graphene oxide materials were used to coat the substrate on low-carbon steel by the TVA method. The effects of the physical and electrochemical properties of the applied coatings on the substrate on corrosion were investigated.
