Examining the relationship between imagery, perceived stress and life satisfaction levels in Dart athletes

Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this research; It is the study of the relationship between dart athletes' visualization, perceived stress and life satisfaction levels according to various variables. The study, in the 2019-2020 season of Ankara in Turkey Darts Championship Game series made 4.Sıral 110 (59 male and 51 female) athletes participated. In the research, "Personal Information Form" prepared by the researcher, "Life Satisfaction Scale" by Köker and Yetim (1991), developed by Diener, Emmons, Larsen and Griffin (1985) (The Satisfaction with Life Scale: SWLS), Hall, "Imaginative Inventory of Sports" developed by Mack, Paivio and Hausenblas (1998) (Sport Imagery Questionnaire: SIQ) and developed by Cohen, Kamarck and Mermelstein (1983) (Perceived Stress Scale; PSS) "Perceived Stress Scale" used by Turkish adaptation Eskin, Harlak, Demirkıran and Dereboy (2013) was used. In the analysis of the data, t-Test, Spearman Correlation Analysis and Mann-Whitney U Test were used to compare the level of perceived stress and life satisfaction in sports according to the demographic characteristics of the participants. Pearson Correlation analysis was applied to reveal the relationship between the imagination, perceived stress and life satisfaction of the participants. According to the research results; the t-Test results, a significant relation was found between the motivational special imagination score, which is the SIS sub-dimension, and the "Nationality" variable (p <.05). According to the Mann-Whitney U Test Results, a significant difference was found between the insufficient self-efficacy perception, which is the ASS sub-dimension, and the "Undergraduate Type" variable (p <.05). According to the Pearson Correlation test carried out to evaluate the relationship between the scores of SIS, SIS and ASS, it was positive in terms of cognitive imaging and motivational general mastery dimensions, negative between ASI and ASI sub-dimension, negative self-efficacy perception dimension, It was found that there was a negative relationship between SIE cognitive imaging and motivational general mastery dimensions. As a result, it indirectly affects the life satisfaction and stress levels of dart athletes in sports competitions and their imagination levels in sports.
