Abstract (EN)

David Popper, who is considered as one of the most prominent virtuosos in the history of cello music, composed some etudes and concert pieces that have a unique place in the literature of cello. In his works, the emphasis is on some passages that include musical and spiritual features that push the limits of the cello technique, and also several characters that he used in his concert pieces and the techniques that he used in his etudes revealed many technical difficulties as well as diversity of musical expression. In this study, the highlight is on the life, artistic creativity and works of the composer. This study also intends to support interpretation and technical ability of cello performers by bringing solution suggestions to technical inquiries that may occur.
