Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the role of behavioral public policies in increasing social welfare. Behavioral public policies are policy measures designed taking into account the real behavior of people and decision making processes. These policies try to understand and guide people's irrational trends using behavioral economics principles, and also aim to develop effective and targeted policies, taking into account people's real behavior and decision-making processes. These policies can help achieve the desired results by increasing the welfare of the society. Behavioral public policies use behavioral economics principles and understanding of human behavior to increase the welfare of society. Traditional public policies assume that people make rational decisions and have excellent knowledge. However, behavioral economics research has shown that people can make systematic mistakes in their decisions, be exposed to emotional effects and have various prejudices. Behavioral public policies take into account the real behavior and decision-making processes of people, paying attention to these irrational behaviors and systematic errors. These policies aim to increase the welfare of the society by being designed to guide or correct people's natural behavior.
