Relation of creating values and work life: An existentialist perspective on work

This study reveals that the study is an important indicator of the existence process in the philosophy of existentialism and the adventure of humanization, based on the reasons in the literature, it is necessary to know the position of the person who does not have the dominant values in the society, the place he wants to reach and what he does to achieve this. explains that it should be placed. It is aimed to explain the personal characteristics of people, their perception of the world and their approach to value creation based on the definition of existentialism, its basic philosophy, the words of the thinkers who contributed to this view, to explain individual and universal values, work life and development in general terms, and to reveal its relationship with existentialism. Qualitative method was used in the study and data were obtained by semi-structured interview. There are questions prepared to learn the demographic characteristics of the participants and the characteristics of working life and interview questions to determine the perception of value. The data obtained were analyzed using the inductive analysis technique. employees and managers on their environment in different sectors in various provinces of Turkey constitute the universe of the study. Participants were selected by purposeful sampling method. The sample of the research consists of 12 employees and 12 administrators participating in the work environment that constitutes the universe. Existential traces are frequently encountered in the responses of working individuals, while more traditional attitudes are observed in the responses of executive individuals. In the whole of the study, various results were determined from the concepts of Kierkegaard, Sartre, Heidegger and Jaspers on existentialism. Employees should have an idea of the extent to which they can affect their work life. This is due to the realization that working has a philosophy, as it is in everything. This study is expected to contribute to the employees to think about the work effectively.
