Özet (EN)

Objective: The aim of this study is to investigate the explosive power effect of strength exercise that has done with the suspension device and combined traditional tennis technics on service strokes on active but untrained male university students. Method:61 male AkdenizUniversity students who are 20.13 = 1.23 years old age has attended to this study as volunteer. Attenders were divided into 3 different groups with random techniques. These groups: Suspension Device Group (AAG), the group that has done regular tennis exercise and strength exercise with suspension device (n=21). Traditional Strength Exercise Group (GKAG), the group that has done exercise in a traditional way (n=22) and control group (KG), the group that has done only tennis exercise (n=18). 60 minutes of unit training sessions that has prepared has been applied as 3 days a week for 8 week, in total as 24 training session to the all groups. Measurement periods, Pre-Test (ÖT), performed before training sessions started. Pos-Ttest (ST) performed right after training session ended, at the end of 8th week. Anaerobic measurements, balance test (KAT 2000), isokinetic strength measurement test, Push Up test, Flamingo Balance Test, Service Stroke Speed Velocity test and ground strokes hit test performed on all subjects. Findings: It is understood that service stroke rate (ÖT: 44.76±10.40, ST: 66.27±13.95 P<0.01), ground stroke rate (ÖT: 51.05±9.13, ST: 60.76±8.84 P<0.01), push up measurements (ÖT: 20.95±5.40, ST: 26.52±6.05 P<0.01) parameters of the group that has done exercise with suspension tool showed more improvement than the other groups based on the results of service stroke velocity measurements. Once most of the measurement parameters are taken into consideration, it is understood that there is no significant difference between pretest and posttest of the group that has done exercise with the suspension device (P>0.05). Result: Based on the findings obtained from this study, it is clear that the groups that have done strength exercise showed alteration in most of the parameters. And it can be said that the development in the suspension device training group is higher than the other groups. It is understood that the at least developed group is the control group. Key Words: Tennis, Strength, Training, Exercise, Neuromuscular, Balance
