In today's world, the idea of comsumption is spreading rapidly. Most of the people incline to shop and prefer consumption to provide their needs, explore new products, and socialize. To have a product that provide their needs and request undergo a certain buying process. In this thesis, the factors effecting consumption, consumer, consumer decions, the models explaining the development of consumption's historical process and consumer's buying behaviours are mentioned. The traps that withold consumers from rationality behaviours are discussed. The aim of this study is to analyze the effect of the demographic factors on consumer's behaviours. According to the results of the survey conducted on 510 consumers in Amasya, meaningful relationship was identified among the consumer's demographic features, shopping preferences and tendency of buying behaviours.
