SUMMARYMaster of Science ThesisDESIGN OF ANCHORED REINFORCED CONCRETE WALL ANDMINI PILESIN DEEP EXCAVATION PROBLEMSSerkan KOYUNCUAnadolu UniversityGraduate School of SciencesCivil Engineering ProgramSupervisor: Prof. Dr. Mustafa TUNCAN2006, 163 pagesIn this study, reinforced concrete wall and mini pile support systems in deepexcavation were examined. Reinforced concrete wall and mini pile analysis were madewith or without anchor for a given soil profile, which are drawn after boring KütahyaHava Er Eğitim Tugayı 16.Bölük Building.First, analytical solution was presented. After that the soil profile were use todetermine behavior of reinforced concrete wall and mini pile for different thickness anddiameter by using the Plaxis program which is based on the finite elements model. In the evaluation part of the study, the results of these two systems and analyticalsolution, and the relation between these results were compared with each other. Keywords: Deep excavation, Plaxis, Anchored reinforced concrete wall, Anchoredmini piles, Support systems.ii
