Özet (EN)

Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a complication that occurs as a result of slowing or deterioration of blood flow in the large venous sinuses, especially in the leg veins, and is often seen after major surgical procedures. Conventional DVT pumps accelerate venous blood flow by applying compression and relaxation to the relevant part of the body through a cuff that wraps around the body, thus preventing blood pooling and clot formation within the valves. They also focus on preventing painful symptoms. In traditional designs, the device works with a pressure value set by the manufacturer and the applied pressure cannot be followed. This situation does not provide sufficient information about the accuracy and adequacy of the applied treatment. In this study, an innovative and more advanced DVT pump design was made and a prototype was presented in order to prevent the formation of deep vein thrombosis. With the developed DVT pump, the pressure values and the pressure stay time can be adjusted according to the patient, the applied pressure values and the application time can be monitored via the device screen, and and it provides easy operation thanks to its touch screen. The adjusted pressure value is instantly monitored by the device and warns and informs the user in case of leakage or clogged hoses at any time. It provides information to the physician and the patient about the duration of the treatment, with the feature of being able to monitor the applied treatment time on the screen. In addition to the possibility of changing the pressure values within certain standards, the user is also provided with the opportunity to change the pressurized residence time. In this way, the flexibility of changing the form of treatment according to the course of complications is provided, which greatly reduces the difficulties of keeping the patient under constant control.
