Words about health and healing in the Compilation Dictionary

Dictionaries are works prepared to reveal the vocabulary of a language. Diaclect dictionaries, on the other hand, reveal the vocabulary of dialects that are outside the written language. In 1932, Türk Dili Tetkik Cemiyeti (Turkish Language Institution) started the activity of collecting words from the public. As a result of this activity, the Journal of Compilation of Words from the People's Dialects in Turkey, which has an important place in language research, was published. The most comprehensive and mos important study in the field of Turkey Turkish dialects vocabulary is the Compilation Dictionary. With this study, it has been ensured that many words that are not used and forgotten in the standard language are recorded. Such a comprehensive dictionary requires detailed and painstaking scrutiny. Until today, many studies on medical terms, medical dictionaries and medical texts have been made and continue to be done. There are many studies on public health and treatment based on the Compilation Dictionary. In this study, the words related to health and healing were determined in the Compilation Dictionary, these words were classfied under certain headings and examined in terms of structure. We hope that this study will provide important data fort he use of medical words in Anatolian dialects in the standard language and the Turkishization of the words
