Abstract (EN)

Since the current sand-casting technique is not suitable for the mass production of small-sized pumps, the composite-plastic pump casing designed for plastic injection molding constitutes an important part of this study. The designed pump casing has been optimized based on manufacturability, hydraulic efficiency, cost-effectiveness, weight, and suitability for mass production. In this thesis study, a low-capacity circulation pump casing was designed, manufactured using a 3D printer, and tested. Various design criteria were defined and applied to different geometries to determine the most optimal and efficient design. Numerical analyses were performed using the ANSYS-CFX software (version 2021 R2) to optimize hydraulic efficiency and mechanical stress distribution. A test system was developed to validate the designs. All prototypes were tested step by step and compared with each other, and the most suitable design was determined in terms of efficiency and manufacturability.
