Abstract (EN)

In this study, the aim was to improve the existing university map site's navigation infrastructure and to create a web-based mapping system that users can contribute to. The developed infrastructure is based on open-source code and a simple design, enabling different universities to easily set up their own map websites. For navigation services, Open Source Routing Machine (OSRM), which utilizes OpenStreetMap data, was chosen, and it was configured to perform shortest path analysis within the boundaries of Beytepe Campus for various vehicle types. In this way, functions such as location information updates and route calculation can be carried out quickly and easily on the map. In the system, authorized users can add event information to the map, allowing students to track on-campus events more efficiently. Additionally, by updating significant changes in important locations on the map, designated users help maintain the map's accuracy and ensure the continuity of information. As a result, an open-source, sustainable, and navigation-supported web-based mapping platform has been developed that can be adapted by different universities for their own campus maps.
