Abstract (EN)

Sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) gas leakage has been considered a challenging problem in high-voltage electrical substations with Gas-Insulated Switchgear (GIS). SF6 gas plays a vital role in providing insulation inside GIS equipment, increasing its operation lifetime and dependability, and reducing maintenance costs. In this article, we propose a Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) system for monitoring and controlling the gas density of SF6 in GIS equipment. The system is based on a LabView and Arduino simulation, utilizing the open-source Arduino device. We specifically exploit the LabView program as an interface simulation program between the industrial application and the user. Additionally, the hardware system simulation incorporates an Arduino card as an open-source device. We then determine the operating conditions and steps required to run the simulation PID system, observing and recording the output response for each step. Subsequently, we analyze the output results and evaluate the system design's efficiency in terms of industrial applications' monitoring and control processes. Keywords: Sulfur hexafluoride (SF6), Gas-Insulated Switchgear (GIS), Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID), LabView, and Arduino.
