Illustration visualization of epics: Dede Korkut stories character and space design

Emphasizing the importance of oral and written heritages of Turkish culture such as epics, stories and fairy tales, it was mentioned that especially Dede Korkut Stories are not given enough importance in the field of art and design. For this reason, it is aimed to reveal new designs by interpreting the character and space design of an epic from Dede Korkut Stories with the coloring technique in digital design. The study also draws attention to the social values and cultural areas in Turkish epics, emphasizing that visual accumulation is not enough. For this reason, the characters and the scenes that tell the story were tried to be visualized by making colorful drawings by using digital design programs with original drawings suitable for the description of written sources.
