Opinions of science lesson teachers, students and parents about the science lesson given within the support and training course

The purpose of this research; to determine the opinions of students, teachers and parents of students about the science courses offered within the scope of support and training courses. In this study, scanning method, one of the quantitative research methods, was used.The research was executed with the schools where science courses are given within the scope of support and training courses in Erzurum in the 2019-2020 academic year.The sample of the study consists of 93 students actively participating in science courses given within the scope of support and training courses in Aziziye, Palandöken and Yakutiye districts of the central districts of Erzurum, 72 science teachers who teach science courses, and the parents of 87 students who actively participate in the science courses given within the courses. In the study, the student questionnaire, teacher questionnaire and parent questionnaire, which were developed by the researcher, were used as data collection tools.The questionnaire forms about students, teachers and parents are composed of two parts.. In the first part, there are questions about demographic characteristics, and in the second part, questions aiming to determine their opinions about science lessons given within the scope of support and training courses. In the analysis of the data, frequency and percentage calculations were made with the content analysis method.In the results of working; In general, it has been determined that students, teachers and parents of students are of the opinion that the science lessons given within the scope of the courses have made positive contributions to students in preparing for central exams, filling the missing subjects, solving questions and practicing.The problems / difficulties stated by students, teachers and parents about the science lessons given within the scope of the support and training courses in the study are that the science lessons, which are known to be high especially in the central exams, have insufficient course hours in the courses, lack of auxiliary resources in the courses, student absenteeism a few weeks after the courses are opened. It was stated that it started to increase and the courses kept the students from social activities.Increasing the hours of science lessons in the courses, providing free auxiliary resources by the ministry, taking measures for student absenteeism were also indicated in the advices section.
