Comparison of the multiple intelligence fields of state conservatory students according to some variables

Abstract (EN)

It is a thought that the students who have talent in the fields of Fine Arts or State Conservatory use their intelligence areas at a higher level than the individuals with normal development. In this sense, it is expected that both verbal intelligence with the theoretical education they have received and the intelligence areas they are talented for their education to the fields will be at the forefront. Therefore, the aim of this research is to determine the multiple intelligence areas of the students of studying at the State Conservatory according to some variables. Both general and relational survey models were used in the research. The research group consist of 242 students, chosen by simple random sampling method, 113 female and 129 male who study at the State Conservatory at Sakarya University, Afyon Kocatepe University and Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University. As a data collection tools, has been used the "Personal Information Form" and "Multiple Intelligence Areas Inventory". The packaged software, Spss 23 for Windows, has been used to evaluate and to analyze the data. The frequency and percentage for the findings related to the demographic characteristics of the athlete students are; the Variance analysis (One-way ANOVA, independent sample t-test) and the "LSD Test" have been used to determine the difference between the groups. In addition, Pearson Correlation Multiplication analysis was used to examine the relationship between sub-dimensions. According to the research results, the students of State Conservatory were found that differences between the variables of gender, class, department and intrument type with the areas of multiple intelligences. However, no difference was detected according to the age variable. In addition to, it has recorded that the most dominant intelligence areas of musical intelligence.
