Rewiew of the most read early period children's books in Devrekani District Public Library

Libraries are among the place where children meet books and develop the love of reading. Libraries should physically attract children' s attention and provide services aimed at children. Children' s books in the library should be appropriate for the age group of the children. Children who have access to quality books develop themselves in various ways and have a certain reading culture. This study aims to examine the children' s books that were most borrowed from Devrekani District Public Library in 2024 and are included in the early children' s literature, according to their form and content features. Within the scope of the research, the 25 most borrowed books were evaluated. The literature information of the books was scanned and the "Most Read Early Childhood Books Evaluation Form" was created by the researcher and this form was used in the data collection process. Books were analysis method by considering their form and content features. According to the findings obtained from the research; The visuals on book covers attract children's attention, the ratio of images and texts meets the child' s development level, interests and needs. When books are examined in terms of their from and content, they arouse a desire to read in children, which positively affects the freguency of borrowing books. It has been decided that some books should be rearranged according to their form and content. According to the findings obtained from the research. "The number of materials borrowed from Devrekani District Public Library positively affected by the form and content features of the books." Was confirmed. In the last part of the study, various suggestions were made to parents, institutions and publishing houses.
