Abstract (EN)

Financial risk tolerance is affected by psychological conditions, personality traits, living standards. Financial risk tolerance shows the level of investors being able to tolerate risk, but also demonstrates what it expects from investment with its attitude towards risk. From this point on, it was necessary to analyze the financial risk tolerances, causes and consequences of young, female, disabled and elderly individual investors living at a disadvantage in our country. Qualitative analysis method was used in the study and face-to-face interviews were provided with the participants by conducting case studies. Thanks to the in-depth interviews, questions were asked about what factors and why individuals were affected by the factors, and comparisons were made about whether the participants had the effect of their demographic, socio-economic characteristics, personality traits, psychological biases. Within the scope of the research, the participants were the result of high risk tolerance of the young group and low risk tolerance of the women, disabled and elderly group, resulting in results that supported most studies conducted in the literature. The results obtained were generally due to the fact that young people had a lot of trouble finding jobs after graduation, and because they were not working in their fields, they were now inclined to take more risks because they were willing to do their own jobs. Women, on the other hand, have been divorced or have serious problems in their marriage, so they have been shown to live in fear of losing more abstentions in their lives. Individuals with disabilities may exhibit different behaviors than other people due to their already present physical or chronic diseases. This affects investment decisions and the risk levels they take. The elderly are also very timid in connection with financial impossibility. It has been observed that these factors make people more risk-avoiding investment.
