Abstract (EN)

The online examination system is a digital platform for assessment and measurement that enables the evaluation of students' proficiency and knowledge using digital tools, streamlining and expediting the evaluation process. Comparing this system to more conventional exam methods, the user can access a more accessible and flexible evaluation process. Organizing exams in educational institutions using conventional methods is a challenging and time-consuming task. In the stages of exam preparation, administration, and evaluation, time and effort are lost. Additionally, the exam printing process generates paper waste in educational institutions. Additionally, ensuring exam security takes a lot of work, and these approaches fall short of security requirements. In particular, organizing exams that will be taken by large numbers of students and making sure they are secure cause problems for academics in terms of productivity. The physical administration of exams also brings on access issues. Online exam systems have emerged as a key component of education's digital transformation. To address these issues with exam procedures, a system that offers online measurement and evaluation has been created. Three distinct roles, administrator, academician, and student, are supported by the established exam system. Users log in to the system by authenticating via the LDAP protocol or the institution's current database. With the integration of the Student Information System (OİS), academician and student course programs are automatically transferred to the system. With the integration of the Student Information System (OİS), the course schedules of academicians and students are automatically transferred to the system. The academician role user will access the system, view their course schedule through OİS, and begin creating the exam for the course in question. When creating multiple-choice exam questions during the exam preparation phase, the difficulty level of each question will be identified (easy, medium, or hard). These questions will then be entered into the system, and question banks will be created that are categorized. Furthermore, the answer key has been made, and the correct answers for every question have been identified. By choosing the appropriate question bank, academics will assess the exam's difficulty level during the drafting stage. The system's control mechanism, the exam's level of difficulty, the total number of questions, and the point value of each question will all be used to determine this process. A standardized evaluation scale will be employed, and the scoring system will be assessed on a point basis of 100. A trustworthy, methodical, and measurement-evaluation-compliant exam procedure is the goal of this structure. Exam security was improved by implementing a real-time surveillance system. The invigilator has the option to immediately observe the participant throughout the test if they so choose. The system simultaneously captures a photo of the participant along with the surveillance footage. Furthermore, the system employs browser and keyboard monitoring control methods. Additionally, user log records are captured and kept in the database during the exam. Preventing cheating and irregularities during the exam has thus been made possible. Every exam step can be completed faster, more reliably, and more efficiently thanks to the digital exam system, which also reduces human error and saves time. Because it gives students and academics a more flexible exam experience, it has made the measurement and evaluation processes more systematic.
