Abstract (EN)

In this research that aims to detect the effects of digital stories on reading skills of P.E. 2nd grade students, experimental pattern with pre-test and final test control groups which are quantitative research methods are used. For this purpose quantitative data is compiled and the results are compared and evaluated. The working group of this research is the 54 students that are studying at a P.E. school at 2nd grade in Şanlıurfa, Hilvan. There are 26 students in the experimental group and 28 students in the control group. Four different data compliment methods is used in this research. As data compliment methods, reading comprehension scale, reading speed per minute, reading faults and Prozodi scale is used. According to the result of this research, it is observed that there is not a significant difference in the points of reading comprehension between the experimental group and the control group. And it is observed that while reading "skipping, repetition and reading faults" of the experimental group that are exposed to digital stories are much more than those of the control group. It is detected that there is no students in both experimental and control group that quits reading the text on the halfway. It is observed that there is not a significant difference in reading speed between the experimental group and the control group. We came to conclusion that there is not a significant difference in Prozodi qualification points between the experimental group and the control group. Even though there is not a significant difference in Prozodi qualification points. The Prozodi qualifications score average of the experimental group is performed more than the score average of the control group.
