Abstract (EN)
The current thesis consists of two parts. The first part of the study covers the synthesis of novel 2,6-pyridine dicarboxamide compounds containing a sulfonamide group. The synthesis involves coupling pyridine-2,6-dicarbonyl dichloride with various amino sulfonamides in a mixture of dichloromethane and acetone at room temperature. The compounds were obtained in high yield and their structures determined by NMR and IR. In the second part of the study these newly synthesized 2,6-pyridine dicarboxamide compounds were screened for their carbonic anhydrase activity. The IC50 results obtained were compared with the IC50 results of the carbonic anhydrase inhibitor acetazolamide
