The transformation of linguistic and architectural thought into political discourse

This thesis sets out to express that architecture is a solidified form of the internal architecture of language. In my opinion, as language emerged in the history of humanity, information systems emerged along with it. Because without the information system, it is not possible for the language to become more than an ordinary animal communication system. Humanity has revealed all the civil and cultural values it has created with the language / information systems. Thus, a language / information system exists at every point where human creation reaches. The phenomenon of communication emerges as the dialectical necessity of the internal relations of the language / information system. Everything created by man is created in or parallel to the structure of language. Religion is one of the earlier information systems that we know, used by human beings. Therefore, the first conflict and cooperation solutions have been formed within this information system. In this sense, we can say that religion is the source of the world's first political discourse. Sects may be considered as the sources of the first political language and discourse of this self-expression. However, the political discourse that became independent over time and gradually frozen the meanings into uniform metaphors led to the conversion of the original metaphors into symbols. Political discourse therefore manifests itself as an alternative to religion, and in order to make its own power evident, it subverts the architecture within the language and makes its authority evident. In this respect, temples were the first architectural works of the world. All temples should be considered as expressions of the political power that prevails in society. Therefore, all architectural products are expressions of political discourse just like verbal texts. This includes the public housing, which is thought to have been built only as a shelter. Therefore, it is possible to turn any architectural work into a linguistic political text or to construct any linguistic political text as architectural work. Architectural products – from the most vernacular to the most monumental – are the tectonically constructed expressions of political discourse, the most common, stereotypical, and dominating discursive formation of the human mind in all cultures of the world. Nowadays, the human environment, which has been created with the help of language and has been given a material existence and identity by means of design and manufacturing even though it is actually virtual, has started to be created as a new design within the framework of computer programs. It is not clear where the new discourse and fiction will be brought by this new formation will come together with a new linguistic and possibly linguistic / religious structure proposition and a new language / information system will probably lead to the development of new political discourse parameters. The purpose of this thesis is to use the linguistic and architectural parameters to determine the direction in which this transformation can take place while examining the case studies.
