How can religious education be done with humor? What are the limits of using humor in religious education? In the study, answers to these questions were sought. Research began with the study of the concept of humor; the concept of waggery, joke, satire, wit, and humor theories and humor styles. In order to determine the place and limitations of humor in religious education, Islam's perspective on humor needs to be put forward. For this reason, first of all, the concept of humor is perceived in Islam and then the humor examples are explained and the subject of humor in Islam is explained. Various studies on the use of humor in education have been examined. This section also provides examples of how religious education can be given through humor. The issue of humor in education is evaluated from the perspective of the limits that Islam draws on humor. Finally, two books that could show us Islam's point of view of humor, Edebü'd-Dünya ve'd-Dîn ve Ahlak-ı Alâî were examined. From these two examples, Islam's view of humor has been put forward and evaluated along with the issue of humor through religious education.
