Ethical consumption in the context of religiosness and emotional intelligence

Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between religiosity, emotional intelligence and consumer ethics of people living in Biga district of Çanakkale province.The population of the research consists of 53000 people living in Biga district of Çanakkale province.The sample of the research consists of 416 people living in Biga district.The data was obtained through survey application.Frequency analysis, normality test, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, regression analysis and hayes process analysis were performed with the data obtained from the survey.According to the results of the correlation analysis, it was seen that there was a positive and significant relationship between religiosity and emotional intelligence and consumer ethical behavior, and a positive and significant relationship between emotional intelligence and consumer ethical behavior.According to the results of the regression analyses, it is seen that religiosity affects emotional intelligence and consumer ethical behaviors, and emotional intelligence affects religiosity and consumer ethical behaviors.According to Hayes process analysis, it was determined that emotional intelligence did not have a mediating role between religiosity and consumer ethical behaviors, but religiosity had a mediating role between emotional intelligence and consumer ethical behaviors.
