Özet (EN)

The main purpose of this thesis is to try to understand how religion, which is one of the basic institutions of the society, has reproduction itself over the course of the secularization in the modern era. The main theme of this study is to argue that the religion is reproducing itself despite the claims that religion has withdrawn from our life because of secularization. The religion of Islam can adapt to changes with its claim of universality and the principle of facilitation. Because of this feature, we see a reflexive and self-reproducing religion against a reflexive modernity. However, the widespread use of the internet with globalization, urbanization, secularization processes and technological developments has brought about some changes in worship. The spread of religious individualism, the disenchantment of religion, the change or weakening of the social functions of worship, and the instrumentalization of religion are some changes observed. In this study, religious practices such as Sacrifice, Zakah, Charity, and Alms will be discussed. Moreover, the effect of performing such worship by various institutions or technological means on the reproduction of religious practices will be examined sociologically. In the field research part of the study, in-depth interviews, which is one of the qualitative research methods, were conducted with 20 people, taking into account rural-urban and gender differences. In the light of the data obtained in this context, the changes in financial worship and the reproduction of financial worship were analyzed based on the theoretical information revealed in the study. Keywords: Modernization, NGO, Reflectivity, Religious Practices, Secularization.
