Abstract (EN)
The aim of this research is to examine the Effect of Resistance Band Exercises prepared for football players on the development of strength in 11-12 age football players. 30 male football players participated in the research voluntarily. The groups were randomly divided into two groups, 15 participants for experimental group and 15 for control group. While the control and experimental groups continued their football training regularly, the experimental group was given resistance band exercises 2 days in a week during 6 weeks of training,. As pre-test and post-test measurements for control and experimental groups; body fat percentage, explosive strength; vertical jump, standing long jump, back throwing medicine ball, continuity in strength; plank test, 30sec push-ups, 30sec sit-ups, maximal strength; back and leg strength test, for anaerobic power; pediatric raster test was applied. SPSS 23 package program was used in the statistical analysis of the study. The mean and standard deviations of the data were calculated with descriptive statistics. The normality of distribution was determined by the Shapiro-Wilk test. In order to determine the difference between repeated measurement results obtained at two different time points in dependent groups, the two-way ANOVA test was used for those with normal distribution, and the Friedman test for those without normal distribution. The minimum number of participants needed was determined by G-Power analysis and calculated by marking the double-sided hypothesis test for a minimum 80% power, 0.05 error level. When the pre-test and post-test differences of the experimental group and the control group were examined, there is no statistically significant difference in the anaerobic power parameter, where there was a statistically significant difference in body fat percentage, explosive strength, continuity in strength, and maximal strength values. It can be said that resistance band exercises are effective in improving the body fat percentage, explosive strength, continuity in strength, maximal strength parameters of 11-12 age football players, and there is an increase on the anaerobic power parameter, but this increase is not statistically significant.
