Abstract (EN)
One of the most important problems of health law is informed consent. Although it has changed according to feedbacks of doctors and patients over the past year, it has not been accepted by both of the groups. The concept of informed consent in terms of patient rights is not clear to both patients and physicians. The subject of informed consent has been studied extensively in literature. However, studies that consider dentists are very limited, instead most of the studies considers physicians. This study aims to analyse the knowledge and behaviour of dentists about informed consent. During the research, a 33 question survey was prepared. The prepared survey was answered by the dentists. As a result of this study, it has been concluded that in addition to medical ethics courses, health law courses should be taken during undergraduate study of dentistry, dentists should be given training about this subject and special legal arrangements should be done for patient-physician relationship. Key words: Dentists, Informed Consent, Patient Rights
