Abstract (EN)

In the present study, the hydrolysisbehavior of aluminum nitride (AlN) powder with and without dispersant (ammonium polyphosphate, APP, (NH4PO3)n) has been investigated in aqueous milling media to avoid hydrolysis and improve dispersion. The moderate amount of dispersant for good dispersion was found to be 0,15 g/m2. An increased APP onto the particle surface was determined by XRD and FTIR.APP decreased the hydrolysis and increased the stability of AlN in aqueous media by coating grain surfaces and forming repulsive forces. The results showed that the APP provided effective protection against hydrolysis for AlN.Keywords: AlN, Ammonium Polyphosphate, Characterization, Hydrolysis.
