Özet (EN)

It is known that approximately 20 to 250 people out of 1 million people worldwide are suffering from Chronic Renal Failure. Chronic Renal Failure is a disease that can develop due to many diseases and causes, which is difficult to recycle, and in some cases, irreversible. If nephron damage continues for 3 months or more, it may result in progressive nephron loss. Because nephron damage is a multifaceted and complex condition, it requires different interventions. Dialysis is the most important treatment option in the treatment of chronic renal failure. Dialysis treatment; It affects the patient, family members and the environment badly in terms of social, psychological and economic aspects. This situation reduces the quality of life in individuals. In addition, renal replacement therapy options adversely affect the well-being of individuals, their performance during the day, and their ability to be independent in their daily activities. Decreased quality of life can lead to increased morbidity and mortality rates. In this thesis, it was aimed to determine the factors affecting the quality of life of dialysis patients treated in hospitals and to determine the effectiveness of the methods applied in dealing with these factors. It was aimed to examine the level of quality of life, the level of addiction of the patient and the methods of coping with them. The Short From 36 Scale was used in the study. The research was planned in descriptive type. The research population consists of 113 dialysis patients receiving dialysis treatment at Bitlis State Hospital, Güroymak State Hospital and Bitlis Tatvan State Hospital.Data were collected with the Participant Information Form and the Quality of Life Scale. It was determined that 49,5% of the participants were female and 50,5% were male. Considering the duration of dialysis treatment; it was understood that 16,5% of the participants received dialysis treatment for 0-1 years, 27,8% for 1-3 years, 35,1% for 3-10 years and 20,6% for 10+ years. It was observed that Physical Function scores showed a significant difference according to age groups. It was determined that the Physical Function and Physical Role Difficulty scores of the participants who did not have children and who had 1-2 children were significantly higher than the scores of the participants who had 3 or more children. Within the scope of the research, it was understood that the quality of life of the dialysis patients was low. There are many factors that affect the quality of life of patients after the diagnosis of Chronic renal failure. In this process, the management of the disease is very important. Opportunities to improve the current condition of patients should be evaluated. Preventive strategies should be applied to the factors that negatively affect the quality of life. Resources should be planned correctly within the framework of possibilities.
