Abstract (EN)

The Korean War, which took place as a hot struggle between the two powers of the Korean Peninsula, the South Korean State and the North Korean State, during the Cold War period that started after the Second World War, spread to an international arena with the involvement of the United States, the United Nations and China in the war. Turkey responded positively to the United Nations' call for help in order to become a member of NATO and to contribute to the maintenance of international peace. This study examines the political, socio-cultural and economic effects of the Korean War, in which significant successes were recorded in Turkey's foreign policy, on the Turkish State; It was carried out in order to touch upon the developments in the Korean peninsula, as well as the contributions to the war and the immortal memories of the Korean Veterans from Diyarbakır, who participated in the war from Turkey and received the title of veteran by participating in the Diyarbakır province.
