Abstract (EN)

In analysis, emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOX), carbon oxides (COX), hydrocarbon (HC) and particulate matter (soot, lead, etc.) of diesel fuel burning in diesel engines were investigated. The most important of these emissions are NOX emissions, which pollute the atmosphere to a great extent, pollute human beings and other living things as well as the environment. First of all, research has been done on a diesel engine and diesel. The theoretical combustion equation of the diesel engine is examined and the emissions after combustion are shown. After this development, NOX emissions, which is one of the most important pollutant emissions for us, have been examined by a comprehensive research. Then, systems aimed at reducing these emissions are examined and focused on selective catalytic reduction (SCR). The catalysts (TiO2, V2O5 etc.) to be investigated by investigating SCR. In the numerical analysis after the research, the fixed values required for analysis, such as exhaust gas temperature, flow pattern injection type. During this period, a numerical analysis was made for NOX emissions, which plays a major role in pollution to be used in this environment in this environment. This numerical analysis has been performed on the SCR system that helps reduce NOX emissions. This numerical analysis was done with Ansys 2019 R3. In the analysis, it was obtained with the material available of the catalysts to achieve the reduction of emissions in the SCR system.
