Abstract (EN)
Parallel to the rapid advances in computer science in recent years has increased the importance of genetic engineering. These advances have led to the emergence and improvement of bioinformatics and biostatistics disciplines. Nowadays especially the "Human Genome Project" with faster and more reliable method of investigation biological data has become is a crucial topic. For this purpose, the main theme of graphs and graph algorithms in computer science began to be used more often. In recent years, graph-based approaches, alignment of genetic data, sequencing, simplification and analysis have been used very often. In this thesis, especially De Bruijn graphs used in the simplification of genetic data and analysis were described in detail. In this thesis, De Bruijn graphs which are used in biological data such as DNA sequences, DNA sequencing and DNA simplication were investigated and the implemantion of De Bruijn graphs on DNA data was handled. The De Bruijn graphs, basic-building blocks of this study were investigated by using DNA sequences. In order to obtain reference genome with short-reads data by using De Bruijn graphs a software was implemented. In conclusion, in this thesis DNA sequences were analyzed by using De Bruijn graphs and graph algorithms. De Bruijn graphs of the developed software, DNA sequencing, DNA simplification of the process has been shown to provide faster and more reliable results than the previous methods.
