Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to reveal the travel motivations of domestic and expatriate participating in Ida Mountains activities. A face-to-face survey was applied to the tourists staying in the facilities with nature-based touristic facilities in the Kaz Mountains and 134 available questionnaires were obtained as a result.The study was conducted with quantitative research methods. The research data were collected between August 2017 and September 2018 by convenience sampling method. Since the data collected from the participants were not normally distributed, non-random analyzes (Mann Whitney/U and Kruskal/Wallis Tests) were performed. According to the results of the study, significant differences were found between the participants' age and their travel motivation dimensions according to their interaction with local people. In addition, no significant difference was found between travel motivation dimensions in terms of variables such as gender, marital status, mode of arrival, income. According to the results, a number of suggestions have been presented.
