Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to make a detailed analysis of the theoretical background of foreign direct investment and to examine its relationship with democracy. For this aim definition and development of both notions is researched comprehensively. Time series analysis and Johansen cointegration test were employed to emprically test the relationship between the two notions for Turkey. Observation range was chosen between 1990 and 2020. The result shows there is a positive, and very robust relation between democracy and foreign direct investments.
