Abstract (EN)

This thesis titled "Political And Legal Foundations Of Energy Disputes In The Eastern Mediterranean: Solution Proposals And Strategic Approaches" was written with two main objectives. The first of these aims is to examine the Eastern Mediterranean conflict within the framework of the discipline of international relations, with a focus on Türkiye, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Greece and the Greek Cypriot Administration of Southern Cyprus. In this context, the policies pursued by Turkey, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Greece and the Greek Cypriot Administration of Southern Cyprus in the Eastern Mediterranean and the legal justifications on which they base these policies will be detailed and the principles set forth by international maritime law regarding the delimitation of maritime jurisdiction areas will be analyzed. The second aim of the thesis is to contribute to the resolution of the Eastern Mediterranean conflict between the parties. The thesis will consist of three chapters and a conclusion. The first part of the thesis will include conceptual analysis, the second part will include political analysis, and the third part will include legal analysis. In the conclusion section, the findings will be interpreted and solution suggestions will be presented.
