Determination of antioxidant activity and chemical characterization of eastern spruce (Picea orientalis L.) bark

In this study, samples of Eastern Spruce bark in forests of Artvin province were examined. Eastern spruce was collected from the spruce, first dried and then ground, and finally experiments were carried out. Various methods have been used to evaluate the antioxidant capacity of oriental spruce bark. The amount of phenolic compounds and their reducing properties were determined based on their antioxidant activities. The results abtained according to the determined procedures were compared with the other control groups and discussed in comparison with the literature.According to the Antioxidant activity results forund, Eastern Spruce was found to have anioxidant activity in the samples examined.
