Abstract (EN)
As a result of the dissolution of the Soviet Union, one of the biggest events of the 20th century, some states that were members of this union gained their independence one after another, a power vacuum arose and this gap had to be filled urgently. The European Union (EU) took advantage of this opportunity and established the Eastern Partnership Organization to attract and benefit from these states. The Eastern Partnership is a joint initiative involving the EU Member States and the six Eastern European states (Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Armenia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine). The Eastern Partnership aims to create a common space for democracy, prosperity, stability and increased cooperation. Since the Eastern Partnership Organization is a current issue and the decisions taken have a significant impact on the world, this Study will focus on the Eastern Partnership Organization and what it promises to the countries that are party to the Eastern Partnership Organizations, in which direction it has an impact, especially in terms of economy and politics for Azerbaijan. An answer has been sought to the question of whether it has caused such changes. In the study, bilateral relations with Azerbaijan, which is the leading state of the Caucasus, which has geopolitical importance for EU countries in the economic, political and social context, were examined within the scope of the Eastern Partnership Organization. The main purpose of this study is to investigate the achievements of Azerbaijan within the scope of the EU Eastern Partnership Organization and to examine what these gains are. In order to understand these achievements, first of all, the historical phase of the establishment of the EU and the emergence of the Eastern Partnership as a logical continuation of this union are explained. In this study, using the descriptive-analytical method, the definition of the problem, its various dimensions and an objective examination of the questions, a scientific analysis of the problems, and a detailed logical evaluation of the problems were made. In this framework, according to the method in question, it has been tried to explain what Azerbaijan has gained from this organization within the scope of the Eastern Partnership Organization in the context of economic, political, cultural, and security. Quantitative and inductive methods were used in the study. Keywords: European Union, Eastern Partnership Programme, Soviet Union, European Neighborhood Policy, Azerbaijan-European Union Relations.
