Özet (EN)

The study was carried out with mothers who brought their infants 1-1.5 months of age to vaccination or medical examination between January 2016 and June 2016 in eight family health centers located in the city center of Yozgat (n:120). The data were obtained with Personal Information Form, Maternal Attachment Scale (MAS), Postnatal Quality of Life Scale (PQLS). In the analysis of the data, the two groups were compared with the Mann Whitney U test, and more than two group comparisons were made by Kruskal Wallis analysis and the relationships between the numerical variables were evaluated by Spearman correlation analysis. In the study, when the postpartum quality of life scale scores of the mothers were examined, it was determined that 'relatives' sub-dimension score averaged 22.0 ± 3.4; 'socioeconomic' sub-dimension score averaged 20.6 ± 5.3; 'peer' sub-dimension score averaged 22.9 ± 4.2; 'health' sub-dimension the mean of 20.6 ± 4.1; 'psychological' sub-dimension mean score was 21.8 ± 3.7; the 'postpartum quality of life scale' mean score was 21.5 ± 3.8 and the 'mean of maternal attachment scale' was 91.1 ± 11.5. The mean score of MASs of mothers who had vaginal delivery was found to be statistically higher than the mothers who had cesarean delivery (p<0,05). It was determined that the mean score of MAS and PQLS in mothers who are university graduates, employees and have a nuclear families were statistically significantly higher (p<0,05). In the mothers who participated in the study, a statistically significant difference was found between taking the babies "immediately" and "immediately" touching and the mean score of MAS (p<0,05). There is a positive correlation between MAS and PQLS and all sub-dimensions. There is a strong positive correlation between PQLS and all sub-dimensions. As a result, it was determined that mothers in postpartum period encountered many problems and these problems adversely affected postpartum quality of life and maternal attachment. The inclusion of appropriate support and education in nursing approach to prevent these problems will both protect the health of the mother and baby and make easy the adaptation of the mother to the postpartum period, improve postpartum quality of life and affect maternal attachment positively.
