Village institutes and education given on the axis of birth, development and finish

Since the first days, the field of education has always been an important issue for the Republic of Turkey. In the years which the difficulties of being a newly established state were faced, new steps were taken in the field of education. Village Institutes are one of the innovative actions that are carried out and were established with the aim of contributing to both the villagers and the development of the country. In the first years of the young Republic of Turkey, great majority of the population lived in the villages; therefore it is a fairly reasonable way of thinking to educate the citizens starting from the villages. In this study, the conditions of the birth phase of the Village Institutes were analysed, and then the details of the education provided with the development of the institutes and the process of closing the institutes were examined. While this process was taking place, internal and external factors surrounding the institutes were taken into consideration. Institutes has a valuable part in Turkey's history, studying with the perspectives mentioned above is important, it will let us answer; despite being a high-potential organizations why and how did the institutes couldn't exactly live up to their potential. There are main differences that distinguish the education style given in Village Institutes from other educational institutions. In this study we conducted, what kind of differences exist between applied education and conventional education. This academic study; claims to be a study that can give an idea for an applied education project that can happen again in the future.
