Abstract (EN)
Objective: The aim of the study is to determine the musculoskeletal system pains and factors that effecting to pain in students. Method: The study is cross-sectional. The Department of Elementary Education was selected from Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Education 2nd grade by simple random sampling method. To determine the sample, a number was given to the departments, Preschool Education, Mathematics and Social Sciences was selected by using simple random number table. 326 students in these departments have formed the study group. The data of musculoskeletal system pain of the students were collected by a questionnaire based on the Expanded Nordic Muscle Skeleton Survey. Results: It was found that participants had back, waist and neck pain most frequently. Mostly, people with back, waist and neck pain had medical treatment. People who suffer from back, neck and waist pain point out that they do not perform their daily activities. It was found that participants who attempt to phycian, physiotherapist and masseur had back pain commonly. It was found that most of the participants who have back, neck and wrist pain, use drugs. It was determined that daily sitting time and weight affect the presence of pain mostly. Women are more likely to experience pain than men. When the spending time in school and outside of the school increases, the posibility of experiencing pain also increases. Conclusion: Musculoskeletal pain is commonly experienced in the participants who accepted to join to study. In the future, to not living big pains according to musculoskeletal system, some preventions can be taken by ergonomic designs and increasing physical activity. So that the pain can be prevented from progressing.
