Examination of the realization levels of outcomes in "fortunately there is" unit in 4th grade social sciences course for different variables: Case of Adiyaman

The aim of this study is to determine using by various variables what level the students have learned the acquisitions of the "I am Glad it is There" (in Turkish: İyi ki Var)" subject in the fourth grade Social Studies course.The academic achievement test which was formed by the researcher based on the screening model of quantitative research techniques, were implemented to 236 students from five schools in the 2015-2016 academic year. 138 of these students are from the two schools that is connected to the center of Adıyaman and 98 of them from 3 schools which is connected to different districts of Adıyaman, are fourth grade students. As a result of the research; It is determined that the students' academic averages related to the "I am Glad it is There" subjects in the fourth grade Social Studies course are generally above the intermediate level. In terms of gender variable, the level of achievement of female students and male students are at the same level. The students whose mother and father have university degree, have higher academic achievement than other groups. It is observed that the academic achievement of the students living in the city is significantly higher than the students living in the village. In addition, it is also observed that there are significant differences -favor of high school degree- among the students whose mother has high school degree, is an illiterate and has elementary school degree. Their fathers' results are the same as their mothers'. In terms of family income, there are also important differences in -favor of higher income- among the students whose income level of family is above 2500 TL and between 0-1300 TL and 1800-2500 TL.
